Lullaby - Origamiby ~mitanei

This was a wedding present i made for two good friends.
The picture combines different styles of origami. The two rabbits in the front are classic origami, while the background with the moon and the stars is made as a tessellation (out of one paper, though the moon and the stars are painted with acrylic color). The frame is made of single modules, and later on painted with water color.

Thanks, i had to experiment a bit with the color, because the structure of the paper can't be paint over very good. This is my second tessellation and it was not as hard as i imagined. The precreased hexagon structure of the grid allows a lot of possibilities.

clever use of colours on a grid :-P
I never came up with a nice tessellation tessellation in my life :-P
all I did was a lion mask tessellation about 4 months ago........(it's still with me!)
