Lullaby - Origami by mitanei Lullaby - Origami by mitanei
This was a wedding present i made for two good friends.
The picture combines different styles of origami. The two rabbits in the front are classic origami, while the background with the moon and the stars is made as a tessellation (out of one paper, though the moon and the stars are painted with acrylic color). The frame is made of single modules, and later on painted with water color.

@tskorigami: It is easier than it looks ;)

@cocoa-kiwi: Thank you! The background was my second tessellation. Luckily, i have a good friend who showed me how to fold tessellations.

Yes tskorigami, she and her husband are the new owner of this piece! :)
Thanks, i had to experiment a bit with the color, because the structure of the paper can't be paint over very good. This is my second tessellation and it was not as hard as i imagined. The precreased hexagon structure of the grid allows a lot of possibilities.

I never came up with a nice tessellation tessellation in my life :-P
