Despite my absence from Origami right now, i'm still watching new origami models on dA and flickr from time to time.
Today I noticed that there was a new picture of Kamiya's Ryu Zin (Eastern Dragon) online that looked awfully familiar.
As it turned out the person posting the picture was using an old photo of the model that can be found online.
Looking at the description of the the model it was clear that the person isn't even aware that the Ryu Zin is folded from only one sheet of paper. Besides stealing pictures from Kamiya, he also took most of Won Park's amazing money origami models and posted them as his own (Here is Won Park's Journal entry about the theft: [link]).
Luckily observant dA-Users found out quite fast about the theft and reported the infrigments, so hopefully the pictures will be deleted and the art thief will be banned from dA in the near future.

Even though the theft was carried out very poorly, it angers me immensely to see that people would go that length to steal works of artists who have committed a lot of time to create artwork that brings joy and astonishment.
